2007 Hallberg-Rassy 37

location icon Hamble, Hampshire
Year 2007
Length 37'0 ft / 11.28 m
Builder/Manufacturer Hallberg-Rassy Varvs AB

New Dawn was commissioned in the summer of 2007 but has the in year improvements for a 2008 model yacht. She has had two owners with her current since March 2013. New Dawn has been lightly sailed during her lifetime mainly on the UK south coast, Channel Islands and Northern France/Brittany.

She is presented in beautiful condition and has been meticulously maintained throughout her life, with regular engine/saildrive service, deck refurbishment, sails laundered by Elvstrom (sail loft storage during the winter). Her standing rigging was completely replaced in 2019 with new running rigging in the previous two years. She has been tastefully upgraded with new carpets and curtains and the mahogany interior refurbished and polished in 2017.

New Dawn has a comprehensive and documented history with receipts to prove this and the current owner can provide a year on year maintenance schedule if required.

New Dawn has the added benefit of a

privately owned 12.5 x 4.9 metre berth at Hamble Point Marina. This berth has all the MDL benefits (freedom berthing at other MDL marinas, fuel at cost, discount on lifts etc), the annual fee would be at least 20% less than current berthing charges and is by separate negotiation.

A fantastic must see Yacht.

Designer's Comments

Following the success of the Hallberg-Rassy 36, the new Hallberg-Rassy 37 is an exercise in all round optimization under Hallberg-Rassy experienced direction.

The hull with a much longer waterline makes better use of its hull measurements.  This was carefully allocated to different areas of the deck, cockpit, and interior for important gains in comfort.

The structural layout and lamination were further improved with the use of special glass fabrics attaining a higher glass content of the laminate, thus a stiffer and stronger yet lighter hull and deck.

A further boost was given to the performance thanks to the new efficient hull lines, having a much longer waterline and an optimum prismatic and mid section coefficients to match very well the power of modern rig and sail geometry.

All in all the HR37 is a safe, pleasing looking yacht to sail.
