Overview

The Hallberg-Rassy 37 is an exercise in all round optimization under Hallberg-Rassys' experienced direction.  The hull has a much longer waterline than the previous HR36 model and makes better use of its hull measurements.  This was carefully allocated to different areas of the deck, cockpit, and interior for important gains in comfort.

The structural layout and lamination were further improved with the use of special glass fabrics attaining a higher glass content of the laminate, thus a stiffer and stronger yet lighter hull and deck.  All in all the HR37 is a safe, comfortable, pleasing looking yacht to sail.

JANDINA is a well cared for example and is difficult to find fault with. Her teak decks are in excellent shape, very even and plenty of thickness remaining. The current owner has replaced all the items needed for JANDINA to provide reliable and safe cruising; thru-hulls, batteries, sails and rigging are all up to date.

Below decks the beautiful mahogany interior presents beautifully and provides a practical and safe accommodation. Like almost all Hallberg-Rassy yachts there is workable space in the galley and large chart tables areas. The sole is all on one level for safety and complimented by secure grab rails and fiddles throughout. This interior works very well at sea and in harbour.

The engine space is cavernous with a total of four access points. The large sound proof double doors open right alongside the main engine block giving plenty of space to work around the engine or even enter the engine space yourself!

Lying afloat at Dove, the yacht can be easily accessed by rail to Dover Prior Station.

Designer's Comments

Following the success of the Hallberg-Rassy 36, the new Hallberg-Rassy 37 is an exercise in all round optimization under Hallberg-Rassy experienced direction.

The hull with a much longer waterline makes better use of its hull measurements.  This was carefully allocated to different areas of the deck, cockpit, and interior for important gains in comfort.

The structural layout and lamination were further improved with the use of special glass fabrics attaining a higher glass content of the laminate, thus a stiffer and stronger yet lighter hull and deck.

A further boost was given to the performance thanks to the new efficient hull lines, having a much longer waterline and an optimum prismatic and mid section coefficients to match very well the power of modern rig and sail geometry.

All in all the HR37 is a safe, pleasing looking yacht to sail.
