Hallberg-Rassy 42E £119,950 (TAX Paid)

The Hallberg-Rassy 42 has been the go-to Blue Water cruising boat for the adventurous family sailor, big enough to be a comfortable home from home yet manageable for a husband and wife crew. This era of Hallberg-Rassy 42 perfectly demonstrates the harmony of practicality and elegance from the co-operation between Christoph Rassy and Ole Enderlein.

FREYAH is an exceptional example of the class, she was supplied, by these offices, to her first owner in 1988 and she is now for sale with her second owners. FREYAH has been diligently maintained and updated to keep her not only a safe and practical cruising yacht but also an elegant and comfortable place to live.

As Hallberg-Rassy dealers we recognise FREYAH as one of the best Enderlein designs we have had the pleasure of offering in recent times. We welcome the opportunity of showing her to prospective new owners, please contact us to arrange a viewing.

General Comments

FREYAH's current owners have conscientiously set her up for short-handed passage making and they have spent a lot of time onboard on passage, at anchor and in harbour. Their programme of upgrades and maintenance has been carried out to date for the benefit of their cruising plans that have been unexpectedly cut short. FREYAH is not a yacht that has been prepared for sale she is a yacht prepared to sail, with very little input from her next owner.

FREYAH's cruising setup and philosophy:
- Safe double-handed ocean cruising.
- Stable sail handling platform with secure cockpit area and the sail combinations give bulletproof performance in all weather conditions.
- Set up for long passages and long periods at anchor without the need to replenish fuel and water.
- FREYAH is set up for low power consumption on passage and at anchor and therefore does not necessitate long charging periods.
- The Balmar / Maxcharge combination however swiftly gives maximum charge for the batteries and also safeguards the batteries from overcharging if extended motoring is needed.

- FREYAH is a delightful boat in which to cruise and is equally at home in an ocean, a remote anchorage or sat in a marina. The current and previous owners extensively cruised Atlantic Europe and North Africa, the Azores, Canary Islands, as well as the Caribbean and Eastern Seaboard of USA to Bermuda. The boat has accomplished several Atlantic circuits with ease and comfort for her double-handed crew.
