Overview

AVALON  is #131 of 162 Hallberg-Rassy 40s built from 2002 up to 2018. She presents in excellent condition having had very light use in her early life with less than 1,000hrs on her engine. most of her engine hours have been completed in her current, British ownership based in S Brittany. The pristine condition of this yachts machinery and engine room is down to having an engineer for an owner and the exceptional condition of the teak decks is down to the owner's conscientious use of winter and summer all-over covers when AVALON is not cruising. AVALON has VAT paid status in Europe but has the advantage of being eligible for Returned Goods Relief in the UK  if her current owner sails her home.

The Hallberg-Rassy 40 has won many accolades over the years she was overall winner of USA  Yacht of the Year 2004 and the Jury said:

"The Hallberg-Rassy 40 is a long distance cruising yacht of the highest quality from the Swedish Island Orust. The boat is the result of the yard's long experience in boat building. This has in the Hallberg-Rassy 40 been further developed to a discrete elegance. Without looking at trends, this is a modern yacht built to high standards in respect of equipment and comfort."

This yacht is in excellent condition and has a comprehensive inventory, she should be considered by both offshore and coastal sailors, contact Transworld Yachts to arrange a viewing.
