Owner's Comments
Guillemot has been a magnificent boat, which has given us so much pleasure over the last 24 years. She sails well, provides comfortable living accommodation, and is sturdy and elegant.
The doghouse gives shelter and, along with a good Volvo engine, assists a return to port if needed on a change in the weather.
We sailed as a family in North Wales, in the Conwy River, the Menai Straits and around Anglesey. We then decided to head south, spending a season in Southern Ireland, the following season on the Cornish Coast and then via the Scillies and the Channel Islands to France. Any ideas of heading for the Med were soon forgotten when we discovered the lovely southern coast of Brittany and the Atlantic Coast with their varied and challenging sailing opportunities. We stayed there for 18 years.
Guillemot has given us endless adventure and enjoyment, the freedom to sail where the wind has taken us and the enticement of yet another interesting French port to visit. We hope the new skipper and crew will have as much pleasure with Guillemot as we have had.
