Christoph Rassy Accepts his award aboard the new HR50

Many trade shows have been cancelled or postponed in 2020 and the Metstrade show has not escaped the restrictions imposed by Covid-19. But, in a carefully managed exception, the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award was presented, in person, by former CEO of Sleipner, Arne Skauen to Christoph Rassy, aboard the new HR50.

The Boat Builder Lifetime Achievement Award is jointly organised by International Boating Industry IBI and Metstrade. It celebrates and rewards the outstanding business achievements of individuals and teams in the worldwide leisure boat and superyacht builder. The jury gives this prize to somebody who has "earned a significant impact on the boatbuilding business in his career".

To see the presentation that appropriately, for a man who has dedicated his life to yachts and sailing, takes place at sea have a look at this video.
