AccommodationÂ
OCEAN GEM has the original layout with linear galley to Starboard and large head compartment to Port with integrated shower stall. There are two full length sofas in the saloon. The aft cabin has a centre island berth with two mattresses.Â
All interior woodwork in light mahogany matt silk finish. Flush mounted locker doors with solid wood frames and ventilation above. Floor is varnished teak with inlaid holly strips. Saloon ceiling has panelling with mahogany strips and ceilings in remainder of boat have light lining. Sprung mattress to aft berth and 12 cm / 5" thick sandwich construction to all others. Mattresses and seat cushions resting on unvarnished, well-ventilated boards to avoid condensation. Handholds are in all the right positions. The boat is carpeted, except directly in front of the galley, press studs avoid movement. All portholes are fitted with curtains. Curtains also under the skylights. These were replaced throughout in April 2025.
SaloonÂ
The settee offers comfortable seating. On port and stbd side a 2.00 m / 6' 7" long sofa, both with backrests with upper hinges so the whole width of the berth can be used for sleeping accommodation. The Starboard side sofa is L-shaped. Both berths have lee-cloths. Between the setteesa strong table with foldable sides. Top opening bar in the table. Vion analogue clock and barometer. Caframo 'Sirocco' cooling fan to assist ventilation. JVC DVD/CD radio receiver with remote control. Two JBL speakers. Headroom in saloon 1.92 m / 6' 3 1/2".Â
GalleyÂ
Big working surface in PlexiCor composite stone with strong, all round mahogany fiddle rail. Carefully insulated icebox with shelf and water cooled electric compressor for chilling. Extra deep, double sink with Mora hot/cold mixer & Seagull pure water filter tap. Foot pump for tank water and footpump for sea-water. Twin burner gas cooker with oven, well gimbaled with fiddle rails and locking device for oven door and also for the cooker when in use in the marina. Electric lighting of burners, no matches are necessary. Nereus Gas Controller (Solenoid switch) (New June 2025). Caframo 'Sirocco' cooling fan. Crockery locker and cutlery drawer. Bread board. Room for saucepans and other kitchen utensils. There are special places for the waste bin and other items.
Heads CompartmentÂ
Bulkheads and lockers in white laminate. Teak grating. Wash basin and work top in PlexiCor composite stone. There is a large mirror. Shower water drained by pump directly overboard without going into bilges. Hand switch for shower pump for utmost safety. Strong, reliable pump action toilet. Stainless steel holding tank, emptied by gravity or by deck pump out. Cupboard above and below washbasin. Ventilation through opening porthole, opening deck hatch as well as a Electrolux type vent. Headroom 1.93 m in the shower, 1.92 in heads compartment.Â
Forward Cabin The forward cabin has been arranged in such a way to allow generous free movement for dressing and undressing. Two 2.05 m/6' 9" long berths with ample stowage above and below and in addition a number of lockers. Hinges on bunks to allow easy access to stowage. Hanging locker and vanity. Infill between the berths. Opening skylights with curtains under. Stowed weather boards for hatches and ports. 2x USB charging ports.Â
Chart Table
A comfortable chart table seat with spacious chart table. Above a shelf and space for mounting instruments like Radar/chart plotter etc. Electric panel to the left of the navigator. There are drawers and stowage slots as well as a pencil holder. 4x USB charging ports.
Walkthrough
There is a larger rubber sealed two-door access to the engine room off the walkthrough. Lockers with shelves on Port and Starboard. Generous walkthrough headroom, maximum 1.83 m / 6' due to using the cockpit coaming for headroom.
Aft Cabin
Aft cabin has a hanging locker on starboard and opening lockers and bookshelves on Port and Starboard. Queen Size centre berth with seats on port and starboard. Interior sprung mattresses. Stowage room below and above. She has bespoke bedding, including duvets and pillows from Marine Bedding Company plus towels for six people. There is a mirror fitted. Seat between the berths. Caframo 'Sirocco' cooling fan. 2x USB charging points. LED strip lights under cupboards. Battery monitor.
