We are delighted to bring to market this magnificent Hallberg-Rassy 54, proactively maintained and ready to put to sea immediately.
For sale by her second owner ARTEMIS has been prepared for any adventure by her current owner with huge investment in recent years. She has never realised her true potential as a live aboard, world beating cruising boat and as such is remarkably well preserved.   
This German Frer design has the desirable cutter rig with complete push button controls at the helm. The Hallberg-Rassy hard top provides complete protection for the cockpit and is complimented by a wonderful cockpit cover, designed and fabricated by Elite Canvas to provide versatile protection from any weather.
ARTEMIS will certainly draw attention on the water with black EPEX sails and close wind hull speeds of around 8kts.
We are very impressed with the owners approach to proactive maintenance and the attention given to mitigating failures at sea and adding redundancy where sensible. The conversion to conventional switching is a particularly interesting upgrade, part of a wider overhaul of the electrical systems on board. Reliable Victron Energy products have been used throughout with charging via solar, GenSet or the main engine.

Although ready and willing, ARTEMIS will sadly not be cruising far with her current owner and the decision has been made to find a new owner and keeper for this remarkable lady.

Inventory

Accommodations

All interior woodwork in light mahogany matt silk finish.  Locker doors with rounded edges and ventilation above.  Floor is varnished teak with inlaid holly strips. The hull is lined with varnished mahogany slats for ventilation and insulation  Saloon and aft cabin deckhead has panelling with mahogany strips all mattrasses and cushions, upholstered in Blue Alcantara fabric with white piping and resting on unvarnished, well-ventilated boards to avoid condensation.  The boat is carpeted throughout, except in the saloon and directly in front of the galley.  Portlights are fitted with yellow curtains. All portlight seals replaced in 2022. Ocean Air sky screens fitted under deck hatches in saloon, forward cabin, starboard side cabin and aft cabin.  Red night lights over galley and chart table and in hard top. All interior lighting upgraded to LED. 

SALOON:
On the starboard side a 2.35m long L-sofa that has backrests with hinges so that the space behind can be used as stowage. The sofa corner is rounded. On port side one 2.35m long settee. Stowage behind and below. Dropleaf table with bottle stowage in centre. Centreline bench with stowage inside. Bench slides under saloon table when not in use Retractable 23" LCD TV. Pioneer stereo/CD/DVD with two speakers. Decorative lamps on main bulkhead.  Large opening deck hatch replaced 2024. Headroom in saloon 2.02m.

GALLEY:
In walk through to aft cabin Portside.  Working surface in Corian with strong, all round fiddle rail.  Two insulated toploading boxes with baskets, one fridge and one freezer.  Fridge and freezer compressors are sea water cooled. Front loading Isotherm fridge with freezer section. Extra deep, double sink.  GN Espace Oceanchef induction cooker with hob and oven with fan extraction.  LG microwave oven with stainless steel front. Dishwasher fitted under work surface.  Crockery locker and cutlery drawer.  Bread board.  Room for saucepans and other kitchen utensils.

FORWARD HEADS COMPARTMENT:
Bulkheads and lockers in white formica.  Teak grating, Corian wash basin and Corian countertops.   There is a large mirror.  Separate shower with watertight shower stall, plexi glass doors.  Electric shower waste pump.  Electric toilet.  Stainless steel 80 litres holding tank, emptied by gravity or by deck pump out.  lockers above and below washbasin.  Washing machine.   Ventilation through opening porthole and hatch.

FORWARD CABIN:
One 2.12m long double berth with ample stowage above and below in addition to a number of smaller lockers.  Large opening deck hatch replaced 2024 for light, ventilation and access for sails.  Dorade vent on fore deck.

SKIPPER'S CABIN:
Single bunk berth with stowage under lockers above. Electric marine toiletand wash hand basin mirror and hanging locker.

CHART TABLE
Double seat with spacious chart table. lifting lid chart towage under, book shelves behind navigators seat A shelf above and space for mounting instruments.  Five drawers and stowage slots. 

AFT CABIN:
Centre double bed and a seat on each side, with Ladies Table to starboard.

Engine and Electrics

Walk-in sound insulated engine room.  
Volvo Penta D4-180, 132 kW/180 HP marine diesel engine fresh water cooled with balance shafts, common rail fuel injection, double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder.

DIESEL:
900 litres in two stainless steel tanks, below the floor in saloon with fuel gauge.  The tanks are filled through deck inlets.  The cruising range in calm waters is approximately 1200 nautical miles.

WATER:
Water capacity is approximately 1030 litres below the floor in the saloon in stainless tanks with a water gauge.  75 litres hot water calorifier heated by 230v immersion element and the engine.  Filling of water tanks is through deck inlet.  Carbon filter for the fresh water system.  Reserve fresh water foot pump at galley.  Three bilge pumps; one manual, one electric and one high capacity electric emergency bilge pump (operated from the cockpit).

ELECTRICITY:
Artemis has been converted to a Victron Litium Ion Power supply with Solar input and two large 3000W invertors. The original EmpirBus switching system has been replaced with a more robust mechanical switch board in 2022.

HEATING:
Two Webasto Airtop 3500 diesel heaters, 3.5kW, with outlets in saloon, forward cabin, starboard cabin, heads compartments and aft cabin.  The heaters are installed in the engine room.  All outlets, except in the saloon, can be regulated separately.

REFRIGERATION:
Two water cooled Isotherm SP systems with 24v Danfoss compressor units, one for refrigeration and one for freezer. One front opening Isotherm fridge with freezer section. The freezer has a double thermostat, enabling use of the freezer as fridge if required.

The cockpit is protected by Hallberg-Rassy's classic Hard Top design with teak laid deck on top and clear glass windscreens port sbd and fwd with opening panel for ventilation. The Hard Top is lined with cream coloured vinyl inside with mahogany strips and LED lighting inlaid in the deckhead.
